Simpler Sunday

I know that some of you will pop in and see this on Saturday night, but for me it's a Sunday post... a simpler, softer card inspired by spring.

Inspired by spring but also by the fabulous muse over at the Case Study blog, Jill Foster.  I loved her emboss resist background with the subtle text accent.   I used Papertrey Ink's Fancy Flourishes set paired with Text Style I.  This was a new technique for me and I loved experimenting with layering the colors... such a soft watercolor effect, don't you think?
My jar of eggs is for this week's Make It Monday challenge at Papertrey Ink.  I used the cracked glass technique on my jar and opted for just a bit of crackle effect... subtle but effective.  The sentiment stamped onto a tiny tag and tied with twine was the perfect finishing touch.

Stamps: ALL Papertrey Ink: Fancy Flourishes, Text Style I, Friendship Jar and Spring Fillers; Ink: SU! Soft Sky, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Lovely Lilac, Soft Suede, and PTI tea-dye duo; Dies: PTI Friendship Jar and Tiny Tags; Sassy Somethings: My Mind's Eye crochet trim; Other: Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (Michael's) and heat tool
