Give a {glittery} Gift

Today's project is 100% glittery Valentine's Day goodness. The design is inspired by the WaltzingMouse Sketch Challenge... which reminded me of a cute gift bag. I also managed to squeeze some WMS on it with the 'mom' sentiment from Roses In Bloom.
I used Papertrey Ink's Timeless Template: Around the Town Tote to whip up the bag and think this will be a template I return to many times for packaging presents.

All the glittery paper makes me smile, and I know it will make my mother smile when it's filled with goodies on February 14th.

Template: PTI Around the Town Tote; Stamps: WaltzingMouse - Roses In Bloom (sentiment); Cardstock: SU Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla; Patterned Paper: SU Sending Love specialty (retired); Tools: PTI large Scalloped border die; SU Corner Rounder and Large Oval punch; Ribbon: SU Vanilla grosgrain, PTI Pure Poppy grosgrain; Sassy Somethings: PTI cream button and twine, Kaiser rhinestone

Through the Trees

Simple and sassy today for the Play Date Cafe where this week's color challenge is grass green, gold, and silver. An unusual combination, but I enjoy giving the 'ole crafting 'noodle' a work-out every now and again. Honestly, I love the result - it struck the right balance for me.

My background was created using WaltzingMouse Musical Backgrounds. {sigh} It is a perfect stamp set. Paired with the lovely image and quote from Through the Trees (PTI), I hope it will be warmly received by its recipient - a beautiful person that is in my thoughts daily.
ETA: This card was created for fellow stamper, blogger, and mom, Katie Renz. She is battling Stage 4 stomach cancer. You can read her story here. It touched my heart and reminded me to be grateful for the blessings and small moments that colour my life each day. As you can imagine, treatment and health expenses are piling up. A lovely group of digital stamp designers have put together a special bundle of images and are collecting donations for Katie's family with the purchase of the images. Please check out the images and consider helping Katie and her family during this difficult time.

Pure Innocence

Today's card makes me SO happy. I adore the Pure Innocence collection from My Favorite Things. They are filled with sweetness and sass and all things adorable. I combined two fabulous challenges for this cutie:

My Favorite Things is hosting a NEW weekly sketch challenge. Be still my heart.
CR84FN is Mona Pendleton's color inspiration challenge. I am absolutely smitten with Mona's work - everything she touches turns to beauty so I am thrilled that she started a site dedicated to her lovely ideas.
Hope you love this Little Angel as much as I do. Looking forward to a weekend filled with stamping!

"Birds of a feather sip tea together". Darling. This card is actually a 4x4 square mini. I can see myself loving this size - such a perfect little something to slip on top of a present or leave in a special spot for a loved one.

The color combo is inspired by The Play Date Cafe - so bright and cheerful.

Kissy-Kissy

Hi-ya friends! Valentine's Day is right around the corner. I lovity-love the month of February with it's sweets and sweethearts. Most of all, I love ANY excuse to deck things out in PINK. Do you remember in Steele Magnolias when they ask Julia Roberts her wedding colors? Blush and Bashful. {sigh} A girl after my own heart. ;)

Speaking of things that make my heart skip a beat: How about the new challenge site I found? The Shabby Tea Room is filled with vintage inspiration that makes me smile. This week their Challenge #43 is to use 11 elements on your card. Wow! I'll count them off for you: 1) layers 2) patterned paper 3) text 4) tag die 5) wrinkle ribbon 6) jeweled button 7) pearls 8) flower 9) stamped image/sentiment 10) cardstock 11) glitter

I'm hoping the New Year brings lots of fun things to Stamp with Sass - I'm looking forward to sharing it with you!

Christmas Thank You's

I hope you enjoyed the holidays and had some time to relax with loved ones. I took some time away from creating (to clean my craft/kitchen table) and to cherish this sweet season.

I was blessed with some very thoughtful gifts this year and wanted to send out a few Thank You notes. I chose a few elements and then put them to work making a set of cards to pop in the mail. I am rarely attentive to how much sassy stuff I pile on a card, but I wanted these to be easy to mail. I'm typically a 'more is more' kind-of gal but I do love the result I got from these two designs.... and I especially love the hint of Christmas from the color scheme.

Of course, I'm most thankful for my two little sweeties.
Wanted to share my joy with you:

Thank You Tags

Time for something simple and sassy. I wanted to whip up some cute tags for items I'm popping in the mail to crafty friends. Just so happens that in my own mailbox this week I received Royal Mail from WaltzingMouse Stamps and I could not wait to ink 'em up and take 'em for a spin. It's a tiny sampling, but it will take the edge off until I can play again... I've got a million Christmas projects/presents to complete!

These little numbers are also going into several weekly challenges. Here are the deets:
  • WaltzingMouse: Sketch Challenge #25. I'm eeking in under the wire to submit this one, but Claire posts a new challenge each Saturday and gives out PRIZES! Woot!
  • Pals Paper Arts - My 'alma mater' and a place dear to my heart filled with good pals. They're hosting a Color Challenge this week that is SO fun!
  • Our Creative Corner: Tag You're It is the theme this week - how could I resist?
See you soon!
Stamps: WaltzingMouse: Chrysanthemums, PTI Studio Style; Ink: SU Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss (retired), and Chocolate Chip; Cardstock: SU Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, and Real Red; Patterned Paper: PTI It's Official; Tools: SU 1.75" and 1" circle punches, PTI Limitless Layers dies and Tag Sale #1 die, Fiskars Upper Crest border punch; Sassy Somethings: Kaiser rhinestones
