Garden Variety - Play Date Cafe #95

I found a bit of mojo and it feels so good! This week the color story at the Play Date Cafe is so fun and chic... reminds me of preppy things... penny loafers, pearls, and tea parties.  Plus, it features navy blue which is the new black in my book.  Seriously, did you know that in the fashion world navy is a neutral? Think about that next time you make a card and challenge yourself with it.  Better yet, pair it with pink and green for this week's challenge. I paired the color combo with a great sketch from Card Patterns... I love having these challenges to jump start my creativity.

It just sort-of happened that I ended up with sky and grass from this color combo...

The sponsor this week in the Cafe is Avocado Arts.
They are offering a great prize and have some seriously cute business in their store. Be sure to pop over to browse all the "stampy goods".

beautiful card! navy as a neutral in fashion is easy - I wear my jeans almost every day :) but on cards? that'll take some getting used to! I do love your night sky, though!

Such sweetness. I love that delightfully dark, nearly chocolatey, watering can. That trio of flowers are so pretty there. The picket fence and the clothes pin are also soooo fab. Beautiful card, as always!

This has got to be the cutest scene I've seen in a awhile! Love that floral stamped block and how you put the watering can over top to make it look like the flowers are in the can. Love, love, love!

Making the picture larger wouldn't quite do the trick, but MOVING there might satisfy! WHAT a WONDERFUL, exquisite little scene you've created! YOUR use of the Card Patterns sketch is POSITIVELY brilliant! GREAT job, my dear! THANKS, ever SO much, for sharing your talent with us!
