Sending Our Love

Have you noticed that more and more people are waiting to find out the sex of their baby until delivery day?  I personally don't have the patience for this... as a mother or as a card maker.  I mean really, a girl needs to prepare for these things! ;)  So, having a stash of "gender neutral" cards is a great idea (and maybe not just for babies).

Today, Clear and Simple Stamps, is showcasing a soft and natural color palette inspired by this photo:

I used the Baby Shower stamp set and coordinating die-cuts.  How cute is that alpha-print elephant?  Love him (or her). ;)

I am so with you on the patience thing. I mean really. Lovely color palette though. It is one I haven't ever seen nor used myself for a baby card. But it is rather cool. Kind of Eco-friendly in its neutral unbleached tones. I am loving that spotty background in contrast to that adorable elephant. Fab bit of lace too ensconcing the top of the card. Way to take up and slay the challenge, my friend. Hat's off!

right? don't they want to decorate the baby's nursery? I remember being *almost* annoyed when one of my best friend's decided not to find out the sex of her baby... I mean, how was I supposed to shop? haha. Love that alpha-print elephant, and the whole design of your card. The soft trim at the top is a gorgeous touch.

What a lovely card! I love the alpha elephant, too. My sister is that Mom. I, myself, can't stand waiting until 20 weeks. But she went the entire pregnancy. Wow! I love that we did this challenge. Now I have a ton of ideas for my sister's next baby.

I'm with you, Denise. We found out on our first, and kept it a surprise for our second. I much prefered finding out. Your card is just lovely. The lace at the top give it such a soft touch and I love the alpha elephant!

Very cute Denise. I'm usually not a huge fan of all neutrals but this looks so effective. And that elephant is just adorable!

Your card is sooo lovely! I love all the details you included. I agree about the gender thing, no way I could wait that long, I'm such a planner.
